The Blues and Other Hues of Winter

Today’s simple pleasure ~ the ever present blues, whites, and browns of a February wintry day. I took a winter walk with my camera today. It was bitter cold but sunny.  The air was still and silent, “crisp” as they say, and its freshness made me feel bold and alive. Leafless brown trees stuck up out of the ice and snow like amazing sculptures – their branches looking like hair, or veins, or fingers stretching across the sky. Varying hues of white snow and glistening ice blanketed the landscapes everywhere.... [Read more]

Love the Questions Themselves

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. I said to my soul

be still “I said to my soul, be still and wait without hope, for hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love, for love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith, but the faith and the love are all in the waiting. Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought: So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.” ― T.S. Eliot Wait.  Read More →

Have you had your Rabbit medicine?

Rabbit Medicine in the Depth of Winter I love what my little rabbit, who lives under my back deck, continues to remind me, teach me, and show me. That there is always a way out. And that the best way out is through. Push through.  Read More →
