The other day, as I was cleaning up my workroom, I saw a huge flash of BLACK out of the corner of my eye through the patio doors from the backyard. As I turned to look, I saw a second flash of BLACK. When I first got married many years ago I lived in a 100-year-old farm house. It was the kind of house that had intense character and charm. By this I mean it had no closets at all, not one, and the basement had a dirt floor. The floors were crooked and none of the doors could close all the way. Recently I had the occasion to witness both a tragic yet uplifting example of this Bible verse from I Thessalonians in action right outside the front door of my ex-husband’s home.
