Have you had a Pinwheel Encounter lately?

This photo of this beautiful pinwheel comes from my friend, June. From time to time, she has shared this picture with me and told me she is thinking of me or some story I’ve told, or reminiscing about the day she found the pinwheel, or contemplating the meaning of the pinwheel as a symbol. That’s what pinwheels can do to you! Once you know the secret mystery they possess, pinwheels can forevermore remind you of symbolism and power and special times.
June told me she found this pinwheel in a forest in the snow. Of all places! — Isn’t that amazing? She heard some whirring while on a winter walk, then she saw some fluttering, and then something shiny caught her eye. And there it was — this colorful, dazzling, pretty pinwheel sticking up out of the snow. Imagine that! I think it was meant to be found, don’t you? Pinwheels have a way of spinning themselves into our lives. Pinwheels have a way of creating encounters for us that make us stop and pause.
June affixed it to the sideview mirror of her truck where it now keeps her company during annoying traffic and on long road trips. It provides hours of beauty and contemplation for her, she says. Learn more about how the meaning and symbolism of pinwheels might be working in your life.

Wow… thank you :~)
things come to us for a reason
to show us things
to teach us things
or to entertain us
and somethings all three
Pinwheele’s have been a part of my whole life
always showing where the wind is blowing from
thus teaching
and showing you that you can be the wind
and filling your little child self’s heart with delight
thanks for reminding me
thanks for thinking of me
thanks for all you do
I love your pinwheel, June! — and how you display it so proudly on your truck for all to see and as a constant reminder of the wind’s power! You are amazing and it has been fun to connect with you. Your pinwheel story is one of my favorites. “…there are teachers everywhere….” xo
